The Cherry Orchard

 | 2010-09-05 20:00 | Open-air (Film studio)

"Chekhov - is a universal author. He is eccentric, with a double, or even triple "bottom". In his plays, one can fantasize a lot and speak of the past and the present. There's always enough material to come up with a non-standard solution - says director Yaroslav Fedorishin about his work. - I was attracted to this play by the time, passing as fleetingly as the beautiful color of a cherry: life begins with its arrival and ends with its departure. I wanted to draw attention to the fact that the characters in the play and, well, people in general, live in the past and never think about today, out our present day".

The modernity of this play shines through in its set design: supermarket trolleys, huge closets with sliding doors and mannequins, dolls and other toys, with which adults play.
