A one-act ballet "Quartet-a-tete", a choreographic parable for four dancers, performed at the request of the Eindhoven "Park Theatre". The music for the work was written by the Dutch composer Ad Maas, as a quartet for four cellos. The absence of an explicit plot takes nothing away, instead helping to disclose the relationship of the characters. Psychological nuances and dramatic effects, never before employed on the national ballet stage, form the chief distinguishing feature of this performance, which is unique in the theatre's repertoire.
