Almost a Play, Almost Pirandello, or the Dance of Death - Resuscitation

  • Russian language

A performance-collage, the key word in putting together each of which is "almost". Almost Pirandello, because the performance is woven not so much with the stories of the world-famous Italian writer and playwright Luigi Pirandello, as with the voluble echo emanating from the numerous characters of his texts. Incompleteness and sketchiness are the principles of its construction.

Director Troitsky, in his own words, connects the world of decay, which permeates the works of Pirandello, with the energy flows of mysticism, black humor and female eroticism. And, with the hope that the Dance of Death, as the other name of the performance, and the the capacity to transform the modern era of transition in the magic of theatre into the small, but all-powerful "almost."
