A performance based on the comic novel by Vladimir Voinovich, "The Life and Extraordinary Adventures of Private Ivan Chonkin."
"Vladimir Voinovich's book (...) spurs the imagination of young directors largely due to its colorful characters appearing in incredible situations. Hence, in general, comes the name of the performance, reflecting the method of working with literary material itself. At rehearsals,, the converted directors (both of them, incidentally, excellent actors) took every opportunity to provoke the performers to improvise, composing some scenes as if "above the text'. Since the actors involved in this play, based on the motifs of 'Chonkin,' are exceptionally strong, you've got to assume that a real theatrical treat awaits the viewers."
