The efforts of students of the two largest in the world of film schools were brought together by the British Council, to create a series of documentaries on the filmmakers' native countries. They explore each others' countries, trying to look as deeply as possible, "under the skin", in order to understand how the heart of a different country beats.
Four young Russian directors from VGIK spent four weeks in London, shooting with NFTS students living in the U.K., and four directors from NFTS film shot in Moscow, with the support of VGIK. The GOGOLFEST film programme presents the results of their work.
