Ricochet
"Ricochet" Contemporary Music Ensemble was founded in 1999, as the ensemble of the Kiev Branch of the National Union of Composers of Ukraine. Sergei Pilyutikov was the founder and artistic director was composer, with participants from among the students, postgraduates and graduates of the P.I. Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine.
The ensemble main objective is to promote outstanding examples of the music of the 20th and 21st centuries.
Since its inception, the ensemble has performed more than 60 concerts throughout Ukraine. "Ricochet" is a frequent participants of Ukraine's largest festivals, including: "Kyiv Music Fest", "Kyiv Season Premieres", "The Youth Music Forum", "Two days and Two Nights" and "Contrasts".
The ensemble regularly collaborates with the Gaudeamus Contemporary Music Centre (The Netherlands), Donemus Publisher (The Netherlands), and Pro Helvetia (Switzerland), organizing a concert series by contemporary Dutch and Swedish composers in Ukraine, with the help of all of the above groups.
