5 young choreographers
In 2010, five international choreographers (ex.erce programme participants of this year), will be coming to GOGOLFEST, to put on a series of actions and events, relating to contemporary dance and performance.
Dina Khuseyn Programme Curator is a Russian choreographer, dancer and teacher of modern dance. She graduated from the Choreographic Lyceum in Moscow and the Rotterdam Academy of Dance in the Netherlands. She lived and worked for some in Moscow, where she created and presented her work, collaborating with organizations such as TSEKH, NCCA, the "Garage" Center for Contemporary Culture, "Dom" Cultural Center, and took part in Russian and international dance festivals. She currently lives and works in France.
Vilma Pitrinaite (Lithuania / France) - graduated from the School of Visual Arts in Lithuania, then studied at Avignon Academy and the Center of Contemporary Dance in Toulouse, France. She has lived and worked in France for more than 5 years, working with European choreographers. She entered the National Theater of Strasbourg this year, studying to become a theatre director.
Bryan Campbell (USA) - studied at New York University for a bachelor's degree in visual arts, and the Academy of Dance in Salzburg (Austria). Before joining ex.erce, Bryan lived and worked in New York, where he worked together with local artists and performers. At the moment, he is working with the French choreographers and presents his own projects in New York.
Boris Hennion (France) - graduated from the Essec Business High School in Paris, then went to live and work in Brazil, where he began dancing. He worked with many contemporary dance companies in Brazil and with visiting French choreographers, simultaneously studying operatic singing and working as an assistant stage director. He's now developing hi own choreographic work, using dancing, theatrical, visual and musical tools.
David Marques (Portugal) - He has a graduation in Dance from Escola Superior de Dança, Lisbon. He worked as a performer with Lígia Teixeira, Patrícia Milheiro, Vera Mota and Francisco Camacho. His work as a choreographer ('Motor de Busca' and 'Future Plans' 2009) has been presented in Portugal and Spain. In 2009/2010 he attends the formation ex.e.r.ce led by Mathilde Monnier. He holds a scholarship from Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. He is a supported artist by EIRA since 2008. At the moment he is developing a new creation with the israeli choreographer Ido Feder.
